This programme is built for business owners who are already doing the work. Everything is practical and applied directly to your own business.

Practical workshops

Eight online workshops covering personal and business money management, the Business Model Canvas, marketing, costing and pricing, financial record-keeping, compliance and pitching.

Personal coaching

Four private, one-on-one coaching sessions with an experienced business coach who helps you apply what you learn to your own business.

Business growth opportunities

A chance to pitch your business, a certificate when you complete the programme, mobile data support and rewards along the way.

Who can apply

Is this you?

L+EARN BiZ is designed for a specific group of business owners. Check yourself against the list before you apply.

  • You are already running a business.
  • You are ready to attend the full programme.
  • You want practical guidance that you can use immediately.

You qualify if:

  • You are a South African citizen and Black (African, Coloured or Indian) as defined in the B-BBEE Codes.
  • You are between 18 and 34 years old.
  • You live in the Northern Cape, Free State, Limpopo or Mpumalanga.
  • You own a business that has been operating for at least 12 months.
  • You work in the business yourself, full-time or part-time.
  • Your business makes less than R1 million a year and employs 1 to 10 people, including you.
  • Your personal income is below R360,000 per annum and below R30,000 per month.
  • You have completed Matric.
  • You can take part in online sessions in English.
  • You have not taken part in an ASISA Foundation programme before.

This programme works if you do

L+EARN BiZ runs online over about five months, starting 19 August 2026. Expect a workshop every week, a monthly coaching session and short assignments that you apply directly in your own business. All sessions run on Zoom and work on a smartphone.

Places are limited and there are more applicants than seats. Apply only if you are ready to show up for the full programme. Your business is worth that.

How to apply

Applying is simple

1. Check the eligibility list

Confirm that the “Is this you?” criteria apply to you.

2. Complete the online form

Have your ID, proof of address and CIPC business registration document ready to upload if your business is registered.

3. Complete My Personal BiZ

Finish the short online course required as part of the application process.

4. Wait for the final checks

Successful applicants will be welcomed onto the programme after the final checks are completed.
